Classical Osteopathy is a non-invasive, manual approach to holistic medicine rooted in structural and functional knowledge of anatomy, physiology and physics collectively. Principle based Osteopathic Manual Practitioners aim to communicate with your body through advanced palpation skills to find the cause of dysfunction while understanding the expression of symptoms experienced. With a patient-centered approach, the goal of osteopathic treatment is uniquely crafted to gently align the body's structure on all layers (bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and viscera) so that nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics can operate free of obstruction to welcome health to the environment of tissues.

At Naturalee Osteopathy and Wellness, we meet people where they are, at every age and at every stage. Treatment is precise and free from forceful adjustments which aids the body's natural ability to self-heal and self-regulate, increasing constitution and vitality of health.

Owner and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner at Naturalee Osteopathy and Wellness

Born and raised in the Barrie area, Avery has a rooted connection to the community she serves. With a lifelong passion for movement, health, and education, she blends advanced training with compassionate, people-first care. Avery is the founder of Naturalee Osteopathy and Wellness—a space created to help individuals and families experience meaningful, lasting healing.

Clinically, Avery is passionate about helping people of all ages feel better, move better, and live with more ease. She combines deep clinical knowledge with genuine warmth, offering a professional and welcoming environment where patients feel seen, heard, and supported—not just treated.

Avery holds an Honours Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Nipissing University and completed a demanding four-year Master’s in Practice of Osteopathic Manual Science at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy—one of Canada’s most respected and internationally recognized institutions for classical osteopathy. Her education included 4,200+ hours of clinical and academic training, 1,000+ hours of supervised hands-on treatment, and 300+ auxiliary hours in a non-profit, community-based clinic. She is a licensed Type 1 Osteopathic Manual Practitioner recognized by OSTCAN (Osteopathy Canada), meaning her care meets the highest international standards and is covered by most extended health benefit plans.

Avery’s path into osteopathy was shaped by years of experience in kinesiology and personal training. Her extensive background in collective mechanics, anatomy, physiology, and exercise prescription gives her a unique edge in treating athletes, families, professionals, seniors, and children. She has worked with hundreds of bodies across a wide range of conditions—and understands that true healing comes from treating the person, not just the symptoms.

Her interest in osteopathy began during her studies in concurrent education, where a volunteer placement at a children’s rehabilitation center revealed the limitations of conventional symptom-based care. Many patients weren’t improving—they were managing. Motivated to understand why people weren’t truly healing, she was drawn to the philosophy of osteopathy: to treat the root cause, not just the effect. Avery believes every patient deserves more than a diagnosis or a treatment plan focused solely on a single pain site. She treats the whole person—the human being who walks into the room with a story, a heartbeat, emotions, a family, a job, a life—not just the back that hurts.

With a strong foundation in education, Avery empowers her patients with clear, digestible explanations. She encourages questions and uses visual tools and models to help you understand what she feels through palpation—guiding you to take an active role in your own healing. Each session is a collaboration, grounded in the belief that the best treatment happens when the head understands, the heart cares, and the hands truly listen—a philosophy that guides every part of her practice. Avery has a special interest in closing the gap in healthcare—particularly for women—and in supporting general preventative wellness, acute and chronic conditions, athletic performance, pre- and post-natal care, and those who feel like they’ve “tried everything.” Her treatments are gentle, precise, and respectful of what the body needs—never forceful, and always in dialogue with the tissues and systems being addressed.

With Avery, you’ll feel genuinely heard, cared for, and empowered to take an active role in your healing. She’s here not just to treat symptoms—but to help you understand your body, reclaim your health, and feel whole again.
